Free multiple-choice inferential statistics exam for undergraduate and graduate students in psychology and the health sciences: the logic of hypothesis testing and the p value, Type I and II errors, power, confidence intervals, t test, ANOVA, chi-square, nonparametric tests and effect size. Questions are drawn anew on each attempt, the score shows on screen and the full explained correction arrives in your academic inbox.
Worked example: p = .03 does NOT mean the null hypothesis has a 3% chance of being true. It means that, if the null were true, results as extreme as those observed (or more) would appear around 3% of the time. The p value speaks about the data under the null, never about the probability of the hypotheses.
Is it free? Yes, no sign-up; only an email at the end so we can send the correction. Can I retake it? Yes: each attempt draws new questions from the bank, so retaking is studying twice.
Test yourself on inference: p values, Type I and II errors, power, CIs, t test, ANOVA, chi-square and effect size. Explained correction in your inbox.
