The prompt has been iteratively tuned with real Q1 review criteria in psychology and health sciences: G*Power, psychometric validation, assumptions, effect sizes, APA 7, etc. It is not generic ChatGPT giving opinions.

Does this write or rewrite my manuscript for me?

No. It does not generate text for your paper or rewrite it. It tells you what a Q1 reviewer would object to and why, so you decide how to fix it. It is a critical read, not a content generator: the manuscript remains entirely yours.

What do I do if I get a Reject?

Do not submit yet. Read the major concerns and assess whether they are fixable with the data you have (most are: robust analyses, assumptions, reporting). If you need human guidance, book a free consult.

Is my manuscript stored?

Accepted Answer

No. The text passes through the API call and is not saved to any database. Only your email is stored, to send you the report and related resources.

Which AI model does it use, and is it open source?

The free report uses Google Gemini (Flash family) on its paid tier, with a stable fallback model in case the main one fails momentarily; the Pro report uses a top-tier Anthropic model (Claude). They are not open source for now. I deliberately use paid models: by contract, they do not use your data to train.

Does using this tool compromise a later journal submission?

No. We do not store your manuscript and the paid model does not use it for training. Running your text through this private review does not count as prior publication and does not affect originality for the journal. Even so, if your work is very sensitive, you can send only the part you need reviewed.

What fields does it work for?

It is calibrated specifically for psychology and health sciences, which is my area of expertise. You can try it with work from other disciplines, but outside this scope the output will be less precise.

Is it really free?

Yes, completely. Other companies charge for this; I believe fostering better science should not come out of your pocket. I only ask for your email to send you the PDF report.
